Siphon speed is half ranged. You will always get hit at least once or twice before you can get away from the target.

Right now Bsurge cost less because of attunements and is an AoE effect.

I've tried it and its very clumsy.

Because of attunements... if an ele wants to bring energy management...boo hoo?

Siphon Strength should disable the opponent from criting.
Thats really what I think it needs. Dervish's crit for MASSIVE damage, siphon speed at 13! DA only takes away 44 damage from that, when there hitting 90's and 100s with there auto attacks and 130's etc from skills.
My A* went against a D/A both with siphon strength.
He could actually kill me in just 3 hits, Wounding strike + Crit = the Dervish's 100 damage crit attack and then Deep wound = 200 damage >.> for 1 attack.
Then Chilling victory is dealing another 120+ damage due to crit's.

A D/A shouldn't or Dervishes in general, should not just bypass Siphon strength.
